Deadfellaz NFT Teams up with Reignmakers Football to Zombify NFL Players

Popular NFT collection ‘Deadfellaz’ has joined forces with DraftKings, the makers of the America’s top fantasy football game. In celebration of the upcoming Halloween festivities, Deadfellaz NFT has turned 13 hand-picked players into zombie NFTs. The players will be made available on DraftKings Reignmakers on October 25th, 2022.

13 Players Selected for the Halloween Adventure

Among the special edition NFL players that will join the horde of the undead are Nick Chubb, Jalen Hurts, Kyler Murray, Deebo Samuel, and Alvin Kamara. Players looking to use these special Halloween edition NFTs, will have to collect the NFT cards by October 30th, 2022, when the first weekly lineup can be selected.

The DraftKings Reignmakers fantasy football draft game is pioneering the fantasy sports market. It resembles the model of the traditional ‘sports manager’ genre of games, providing ratings based on real-life performances. Reignmakers dishes out a whopping $1 million in contest prizes every week, and earning points in the fantasy football game might be about to get a lot easier, as the new NFL NFT cards will remain active throughout the season.

NFT Enthusiasts Are Digging Deadfellaz

Deadfellaz, the Ethereum (ETH) profile picture project has truly made a name for itself in the NFT space. Created in 2021, the NFT zombie avatar collection has grossed around $100 million in secondary market trading volume. Moreover, with Deadfellaz working hard to push its brand, the NFT project inked a deal with the United Talent Agency this year.

Co-Founder and current President of DraftKings, Matt Kalish, is one of Deadfellaz‘ biggest fans, and is known to have sold one of the many Deadfellaz NFTs in his vault for 69.69 Ethereum (ETH).

Deadfellaz NFTs are also carving out a place for themselves in fashion, after a partnership with Wrangler saw the well-known jean maker release the first-ever jeans with an NFT tag. Owners of the exclusive garments can scan the NFC tag on the label to gain exclusive access to the Deadfellaz comic series. As the brand increases its retail presence, we can expect to see even more bi-dimensional items branded with Deadfellaz hit the shelves soon.

On the Flipside

  • Despite its success throughout 2021, and a favorable October so far, demand for Deadfellaz NFTs is in decline.
  • In the last 90 days, sales have dropped 30%, while the collection’s trading volume plummeted 55.59%.
